PTA Fundraising

The Mokena PTA has a number of ways for parents to contribute and donate to the organization.

  • A gift card program, you purchase a gift card from the store you choose in the amount you want and the company gives the PTA a percentage, for more information see SCRIP page or contact Kim Perch 708-479-6261.
  • You can drop your inkjet cartridges off at any one of the three schools.
  • Fall/Spring Fundraisers. These events are designed to give the PTA the bulk of the monies needed for the budget.
  • Chuck E Cheese Night. This is especially popular with the MES and MIS students. It gives the kids an opportunity to have fun and run around with their classmates in January. Chuck E Cheese gives the PTA a percentage of their profit. If you have any questions, please contact Christine Economous at 708-479-3640.
  • Donations. We encourage families to make donations to the Mokena PTA, it is tax deductible and the PTA receives 100% of the profit. A financial donation can be made by making a check out to Mokena PTA. If you would like to make a donation of supplies or a prize to be raffled off, please contact Carol Garcia at 708-478-8716 or MokenaPTA@gmail.com.

All our fundraising efforts go directly to the schools and the children. The following is a partial list of the activities the PTA funds:

  • MJHS Dances and Open Gym Nights
  • Per student donation during school book fairs for schools to use to purchase books etc.
  • Family Fun Fair
  • Santa's Secret Workshop
  • Staff Appreciation Week
  • Teacher Mini Grants
  • Scholarship for Lincoln-Way East Graduates
  • Family Program Night
  • School supply kits for needy families
  • Student Assemblies
