Math Curriculum for First Grade

First Grade students will be able to :

• Add and subtract basic math facts without grouping

• Tell time by the hour and half-hour

• Interpret charts, tables, graphs, and patterns

• Perform simple transactions with coins

• Place value of numbers to 1000

• Use estimation

• Classify and sort manipulatives

• Sequence and compare/contrast

• Read, write, and count numbers to 100

• Interpret a calendar
