At the beginning of the year, I ask for the students to help me come up with a list of class rules.  Our rules this year are: 

1. Be a good listener.
2. Raise your hand if you want to talk.
3. Use indoor voices.
4. Keep hands and feet to yourself.
5. Walk-Don't run!
6. Use nice manners.
7. Share.
8. Always DO YOUR BEST!

If a child breaks a rule, he or she will flip his card from green to yellow (signifying a warning.)  

If a second behavior occurs, the card will change to orange, and 5 minutes of recess will be taken away.  

A red card will cause a child to lose all recess time for that day.  

You will be notified of your child's behavior each day through his or her homework sheet.  Please be sure to look at this each night and discuss with your child.  I also ask that you initial this page EACH DAY to let me know that you have seen it.

I strongly believe in positive reinforcement for appropriate behavior, so we will keep track of "green cards" and be rewarded for them weekly!
