Second grade students come to the computer lab when they are
working on content in the classroom that can be reinforced using
technology, allowing the teacher to teach basic technology skills along with
the subject matter. This can include use of the networked software
programs including PowerPoint, Microsoft Word or Excel. Students
may visit websites that provide more practice on basic math
and reading skills. They also learn how to use search engines such as Yahooligans or
Ask Jeeves.
