- Third grade students use the computer lab for language arts projects related
to writing. Students work on collaborative reports
using PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, Print Shop and KidPix. They
use various search engines to locate pictures and information to include in
their reports. KidPix is used to blend writing and illustration. In
addition to using web-sites that reinforce math
and reading skills we also introduced the student to a free downloadable typing
program called Tuxedo
Typing which teach the basics of touch typing. Here's a web site
