August 2010 I would like to take a moment to introduce myself
to you. As of July 1, 2010 I officially became the assistant principal
of Mokena Junior High School. I am very excited and proud to be a part
of the junior high. I earned my teaching degree from University of St.
Francis and began my teaching degree as a 5th grade teacher in the Homer
School District. I then started at Mokena Elementary School in 2000 as a
5th grade teacher before moving to Mokena Intermediate School. During my
time at MIS, I finished my first masters in education and leadership and
in April 2010 finished my second masters in administration and
leadership. I understand the difficulties that the district is
going through and realize that some of these changes are difficult to
accept. However, I still feel that when both the staff and parents work
together we can provide a positive environment for the students at MJHS.
I am looking forward to meeting and working with you in the upcoming
months.
Coming together is a
beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.”
