7th graders enjoyed their Springfield trip this week! Students were able to sit in the chairs on the Senate floor, go on a Capitol tour with Senator Hastings, learn from presenters at the Military History Museum, visit Lincoln's Tomb, and explore the Abraham Lincoln Museum to name a few experiences!

7th grade scientists are investigating what warms and cools faster- soil or water?








Mokena SD 159's Orchestra had the honor of being represented by bass player Grant Montgomery, as he took part in the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra's All-Star Wars concert! He got to rehearse with Maestro Stilian Kirov, 30 local all-star student musicians, and 35 professional IPO musicians and performed two concerts for many students, including the MIS's music department who supported him on a field trip.
