8th grade artists worked hard to complete these shaded silverware drawings. They arranged the silverware themselves, and took their own photos. Students then used Google Slides to create a grid over their photo to help them enlarge and draw the silverware on paper. They shaded their silverware drawings using graphite pencils.
These drawings will all be displayed at the 28th annual Lincoln-Way ArtWorks Festival. ArtWorks 2025 will be held on March 15th at Lincoln-Way East.

At the January Board of Education meeting, our prinicpals presented a mid-year update on each school's progress towards their 2024-2025 goals. Our school improvement planning process reflects a district-wide commitment to continual growth in what we do for our students. We are very proud of the students and teachers for their hard work and progress made so far this year! ⭐🚀 ☄️

Yesterday we debuted this year's Mud Turtle T-shirts. The design is by Emma J. (pictured, middle, with friends). Today we asked the 8th grade to show their school pride by wearing their shirts (group picture).
Thank you to the Mokena PTA who makes sure that every single 8th grader gets one at no cost to the students. Their generosity and support makes this annual tradition possible!
