Dr. Cohen photo

Dr. Cohen grew up in Palos Hills, Illinois and graduated from A.A. Stagg High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at Illinois State University in where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics Education in 1999. Dr. Cohen received his Master of Arts degree in Educational Administration from Governors State University in 2005, and his Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Loyola University Chicago in 2012.

Dr. Cohen began his career in education at Lincoln-Way High School District 210 as a science teacher. In his 18 years at Lincoln-Way he served as a Science Department Chair, Assistant Principal, and Principal. Dr. Cohen spent 3 years as an Assistant Superintendent in Elmhurst School District 205 before joining Mokena School District 159 in July of 2020.
