The Mokena Music Boosters are sponsoring a "Dollars For Dogs" fundraiser on Saturday, September 10 from 11 am to 1 pm at Whitmore Ace Hardware in Mokena.
Everything will be just a $1! All proceeds go to support the Mokena Music program.


Thank you to the PTA for putting together the Back to School Bash for MJHS students! We had over 240 students attend and everyone had a blast!

Mrs. Wardell’s kindergarten class earned a pajama day this week! The students earned 20 of the classroom emojis for demonstrating school appropriate behavior! Way to go, Stars!



Attention MES families: there will be NO SCHOOL for MES students today due to a water main break.


MES 1st graders read “David Goes to School” and talked about being a good classroom citizen!





In PE, MIS students have been working on their teamwork and communication skills with a game called “Cross The River”!

Mokena Junior High School students have started our new STEM program called Project Lead the Way. This week, students are working in teams to develop a custom ankle foot orthosis to help a child with spastic hemiplegia, a muscular disorder associated with cerebral palsy.




2nd graders in Ms. Lagunas’ class are signing their names to the classroom rules sheet! The students brainstormed the rules on the first day of school. Way to go, Stars!





Our 5th grade students had a chance to try out a few strings instruments this evening at the MIS Back to School Night. We are looking forward to our newly formed orchestra program to begin!
