Kindergarten students enjoyed a field trip to Pilcher Park where they learned how maple syrup is made. They were able to experience how trees are tapped, how sap is collected, and how the sap is boiled in the sugar shack to create syrup. As a Students then enjoyed some pancakes and maple syrup! This field trip provided a unique and real life experience related to their reading and writing unit about how living things depend on trees for their needs!

Our 5th graders practiced teamwork, coordination, and sportsmanship during their floor hockey unit in PE class. Activities like these promote active learning and lifelong fitness skills! Way to go, Rockets!

We are so thankful to the Hive Day Program for supporting our staff with a coffee cart at MJHS today! Our staff members very much appreciated the opportunity to order coffee, cocoa, and muffins and have it delivered to their classrooms. It was such a treat!

6th graders are investigating the intensity of solar energy and how much energy the Earth gets from direct and indirect sunlight. Students used a clamp light to model the suns energy and a radiometer to represent the Earth.
