It's almost here...On Friday, over 70 Young Athletes from MES will participate in the Special Olympics Culminating Event! We are excited to welcome representatives from Special Olympics Region E and celebrate our students as they showcase the gross motor skills they have been practicing at school!

Lincoln Way Special Recreation Association visited MJHS this afternoon to share information about the association and their athletes. LWSRA challenged our staff members to a friendly game of wheelchair basketball and LWSRA came out with the W!
Lincoln Way Special Recreation Association visited MIS this morning and it was a wonderful assembly. The LWSRA coaches shared information about the association including the sports they support and the athletes that participate. The LWSRA athletes put on a wheelchair basketball demonstration which included some of our MIS staff staff.

7th graders enjoyed their Springfield trip this week! Students were able to sit in the chairs on the Senate floor, go on a Capitol tour with Senator Hastings, learn from presenters at the Military History Museum, visit Lincoln's Tomb, and explore the Abraham Lincoln Museum to name a few experiences!
