The MJHS Scholastic Book Fair is a Month away! It will start on March 4th and run through March 8th, with a Family Night on March 5th.
We're looking for volunteers to help during the school day. If interested please contact Mrs. Mosel at mosell@mokena159.org.


Kindergarten enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year will open online Monday, Feb 5, 2024!
Incoming kindergarten students must be age 5 years old on or before September 1, 2024 to be enrolled for the 2024-2025 school year and reside within the District boundaries.

Yesterday Officer Tom started the five week session on safety with the first graders! Today’s focus was on when to call 911. He also gave them all the homework of learning their parent phone number and their address.

7th graders are finishing up their ELA unit on "Brain Science." Students created a model of the brain based on the informational texts they read. Then, they used the model to observe the effects of Phineas Gage's accident on his brain, which was another informational text read.


At Wednesday's Board of Education Meeting, Mokena Junior High School students presented their projects from our Project Lead the Way exploratory STEM classes. We were very impressed with their design, coding, engineering, and public speaking skills.
