The MES classroom holiday parties were full of fun, friendship, and new memories!
The junior high hosted a fantastic holiday celebration for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders this morning! There were performances by the bands, orchestras, choir and poms as well as a sing-a-long. We even had a visit from a special someone from the North Pole!

Mrs. Martin's 8th grade US History classes created famous landmarks with a gingerbread-house twist! Can you guess what they are?
Second graders rose to the challenge as they had to work together to build the highest free standing shelf for the elf using only 25 popsicle sticks and a tub of playdough!

Congratulations to MJHS students Emeline H., Amelia H., and Zach J., for having their narrative writing esssays featured at the December Board of Education meeting. Their creativity and craft were apparent as they read their stories aloud. We are surely growing future authors in our classrooms!

Mrs. Chorley and Mrs. Pierik enjoyed extra recess with Second Grade students for winning the 2024 Penny Wars benefitting Mokena Miracles.

Our 8th grade students have been working on Properties of Matter. Their projects are hanging in the halls for all of the student to see. Here are a few examples of their fantastic work.
Third grade students in Mrs. Hernandez's class collaborate to find the unknown in multiplication and division problems.
Our 6th graders brought Chapter 3 of Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry to life through the Sketch and Tell EduProtocol! Students demonstrated their comprehension and analysis skills by creating drawings and providing explanations of key themes. Adding an extra layer of creativity, we experimented with AI art tools to help visualize the scenes. A perfect blend of classic literature, artistic expression, and modern technology!
